Brendan Parent, JD

is an instructor in the Division of Medical Ethics at New York University Langone Medical Center and an Assistant Professor in Sports and Society at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies. He is also a consulting attorney for the New York Task Force on Life and the Law, a government agency that assists the State with policy in medicine, law and ethics. His current research areas include sports and ethics, organ donation policies, and standards for revealing genetic information to patients and research participants. He designed his undergraduate major in Bioethics at University of California, Santa Cruz, and received his JD from Georgetown University Law Center where he was presented with the ABA Award for Excellence in Health Law.
